Make Insurance Companies Pay for Mental Health
Youth Town Hall on Mental Health Parity
Tuesday, Sept. 26 | 7 - 8:30 p.m. ET
Your voice matters. Join us to hold insurers accountable and help people get the support they need.
Every day, insurance companies discriminate against people with mental health conditions by denying access to necessary support. This means people are often forced to pay out of pocket, travel long distances, end up in medical debt, or go without care. A new rule proposed by the Biden Administration aims to prevent insurers from treating mental health differently than physical health, which is called parity. Without it, countless Americans will continue to pay the price.
This issue is urgent. The deadline for written public comments is Oct. 2, 2023.
