This session with the Association of Migraine Disorders will explore how to live well, or live better, with migraine and other chronic pain conditions, especially when they overlap with mental health conditions, by incorporating lifestyle strategies, therapy, and more.

- Discuss how living with migraine and other chronic pain conditions can affect mental health
- Better understand the overlap between chronic pain conditions and mental health conditions
- Learn about strategies for living well with chronic pain conditions, such as support groups, Facebook groups, diaries, exercise, advocacy, mindfulness, art, and more
- Understand different types of psychotherapy, such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), that can be used in combination with medications as treatments for chronic pain conditions
Meet the speaker
Dr. Melissa Geraghty is a licensed clinical health psychologist and CEO of Phoenix Rising. She has over a decade of experience fostering the mental health, self-management, and perseverance of patients and their families.
