Giving & Receiving Support in Recovery
Having a strong support system is a key factor for mental health recovery. Many people can find support in the people already around them, like friends and family, or through people going through similar experiences—but it can be difficult to start those conversations. Maybe you don’t know how to explain how you’re feeling, or maybe your loved one is struggling and you aren’t sure how to help. Taking some time to think through what asking for or offering support would look like can make those conversations less overwhelming.
