A Unified Vision for Transforming Mental Health and Substance Use Care
Now more than ever there is a need for collective action to advance mental health and substance use disorder care in the United States.
To improve the lives of people with mental health and substance use disorders through a transformed system of care.
Mental Health America (MHA) and 11 other national organizations joined together to call on the need for collective action to advance mental health and substance use disorder care in the United States.
As a national mental health leader, MHA played a key role in bringing together this unprecedented collaboration to craft a shared vision for mental health to achieve a common goal – improving lives.
This landmark vision culminated on World Mental Health Day 2020 and was released in December 2020, demonstrating a strong commitment from leaders in the sector to work together to chart a new course for mental health in our country.
