Katie Lee is the Director of Communications at Mental Health America. In this role she focuses on communications planning, execution, and messaging. She brings over 10 years of broad communications experience to MHA.
Prior to joining MHA in 2022, Katie worked in communications for the America Hospital Association and C-SPAN. She spent several years in her early career as a print and broadcast journalist.
Katie earned a master’s in fine arts degree from Lindenwood University and a degree in journalism from Franklin College. She lives in Arlington, VA, with her husband, three resident cats, and, at any given time, at least one foster cat. Her lived mental health experience has made her a passionate and empathetic advocate for stigma reduction and making treatment accessible to all.
