Taking Time for Yourself: Writing and Peer Support

Taking time for yourself is an essential part of any recovery journey. Self-care is proven to reduce stress and anxiety levels while increasing self-compassion. Taking time for yourself may seem unimaginable, but there are small things we can do to make self-care a little easier. As part of May is Mental Health Month, we will be showcasing how you can take care of yourself using creative writing. We will also show you how you can help other peers take care of themselves using this art form.

This webinar will help you:

  • Understand the benefits of creative writing as a means of taking care of yourself
  • Learn practical skills to incorporate creative writing into your life
  • Learn how to use creative writing to work with other peers
