Sherwood attended Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Social Work in which he obtained both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Social Work and has 10+ years in social work practice. Sherwood obtained his License in Clinical Social Work in VA and attended the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University (VUU) and obtained his Master's of Divinity Degree. Sherwood serves two congregations within Virginia and serves on the Board of Directors of the South Richmond Adult Daycare Center. Lastly, Sherwood currently serves as an adjunct faculty member at Bryant & Stratton College and Virginia Commonwealth University.
