Caroline Simmons is the Senior Specialist for Policy Innovation and Impact at Elevate, where she leads the policy portfolio to advance mental health as a strategy to disrupting poverty. Caroline also serves in the Connecticut General Assembly as a State Representative. Caroline previously worked at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as Director of Special Projects and at the Women's Business Development Council in Stamford, CT. She has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Public Policy at Wesleyan University. Caroline holds a BA in Government from Harvard University and an MA in Middle East Studies from George Washington University.
