Born in Saudi Arabia, Bushra moved to Canada when she was 6 years old. Bushra enrolled in the Concurrent Education Program at the University of Toronto, pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education. After graduating, she taught Grades 1 and 4 for a few years in the Halton District School Board and designed educational programs for international organizations before pursuing her Master's of Education. Bushra has always been passionate and interested in curriculum and educational program development.
