Barbara Sahli is an outreach educator who delivers professional development workshops for educators and mental health professionals, as well as presentations for students, interfaith groups and others seeking greater understanding of Islam from a Muslim's perspective. A former middle school language arts teacher, she earned an Ed.M from Harvard Graduate School of Education, focusing on anti-bias education and positive intergroup relations. Her Muslim Youth Voices project collects counter-narratives written by young Muslims about their experiences in the U.S. She co-authored chapters in Muslim Voices in School: Narratives of Identity and Pluralism and in Educating the Muslims of America.
