Tell Congress to take action on behavioral health priorities in FY2026!

In observance of Mental Health Month, we are asking Congress to act on four mental health priorities:

  1. Protect Medicaid
  2. Support Early Intervention with the EARLY Minds Act
  3. Expand Youth Peer Support with the Peer-to-Peer Mental Health Support Act
  4. Fund the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline at $613 Million for FY2026

The mental health of our communities depends on smart federal investments and policies that prioritize prevention, access, and support for all Americans. Help us protect the progress we’ve made—and push for more.

Tell Congress to keep mental health at the top of the Congressional agenda!

Tell Congress to protect Medicaid from budget reconciliation cuts!

As Congress prepares a reconciled funding bill, it is crucial that members hear that their constituents are strongly opposed to possible cuts to the Medicaid program that would jeopardize physical and mental health care access for millions of Americans.

Urge Congress to support the Medicaid program and access to mental health services

As budget negotiations take place in Congress, deep cuts to the Medicaid program are being considered that would create barriers to health coverage and would jeopardize mental health care access for millions of Americans. MHA is strongly opposed to these changes and urges Congress to support access to mental health and substance use care for everyone who needs it.
